Wristband Message

What to Put On Silicone Wristbands

Silicone wristbands are effective. Their bright, eye-catching colours and design ensure that they are worn repeatedly and they consistently draw attention. This makes their wearers a walking advert for your brand or cause. But what do you add to the bands? What artwork should you use? And what about colours? Read on for our guide to customising your wristbands.

One of the first things you notice about wristbands is the colour. They are designed to be striking and aesthetically pleasing. Both the band and artwork can be customised with any Pantone colour or colour mix. So, you can opt for your company colours, a colour associated with a specific product or campaign or you can go for something completely different.

When it comes to colour, there are many guides to assist you in making the right choice. Colour is important; it affects our perceptions and mood. So it’s vital to get it just right. And if you’re not sure how the finished article will look, make sure you leave enough time to request a sample.

Print Style

If you’re looking for bands to be worn for a short period of time, for example to celebrate a launch, then the most cost-effective option is printing. The bands are over-printed with your choice of artwork or text. However, if you’re looking for something to last a little longer, opt for debossing or embossing. Debossed with infill bands are one of our popular choices. Your artwork or message is stamped into the bands and they are then filled in with your choice of colour. When you have a lot to say or you want to add impact, opt for interlinked bands or wide bands. And for bands that need to be visible at night or in a dimly lit area, may we suggest our glow-in-the dark wristbands.

Over the years we’ve been blown away by the exciting and striking designs our customers have created. We’re continually inspired by the way you style your wristbands. Artwork can be provided in a variety of formats including JPEG, EPS, PSD, AI, PDF and Publisher. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to advise.

Perhaps the most difficult decision you need to make about your wristbands is what message to add. Should you just include your organisation or product name? Or should you opt for something a little more detailed?

When deciding on your message, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Who are the bands aimed at?
  • What is their purpose? For example, is to raise funds, increase awareness or encourage people to complete an action such as visiting a website or phoning a hotline number?
  • How long are you expecting the bands to be worn for? Do they have a short shelf life or a longer appeal?
  • Is this part of a wider campaign and therefore is it linked with a hashtag or web page, etc.?

All of these questions will help you to determine what to add. For more details, read our guide on crafting your message. When you have a relatively small space to work with, it is important to make every word count.
