Spotlight on Freddie Farmer Foundation
We feel honoured to be working with some inspiring charities and not-for-profits that make a big impact on people’s lives. One of these organisations is the Freddie Farmer Foundation.
Established in 2011 the charity was set up to raise funds for a specialised physiotherapy centre in South East London. The aim of the centre is to assist children and young people with cerebral palsy and mobility problems, developmental delay/co-ordination disorders, and other non-progressive neurological disorders and syndromes. The centre also supports their families and carers. After much hard work and successful fund raising, the centre opened its doors in May 2015.
The Freddie Farmer Physiotherapy Centre provides intensive physiotherapy to disabled young people aged 3 to 16 years. They provide 2-3 hours of therapy per day over a period of 2 or 4 weeks.
Lancaster Printing is delighted to work with this worthy charity and supply their promotional silicone wristbands. The bands are handed out to supporters and friends to raise awareness of their cause. Each band is customised with their spider logo, which represents the cage and bungee ropes used in therapy. The spider represents the children.
All of the proceeds raised for the Freddie Farmer Foundation go straight to the charity. There are no paid executives or fundraisers; everyone involved is a volunteer. To support this worthy cause, make a donation via their Money Giving page. To find out more about what they do, visit their website at freddiefarmerfoundation.org.uk.
